How To Ride Your Vehicle

Starting

  • It is mandatory to use safety helmet for a safe ride.
  • The charging cable should be disconnected before starting the vehicle.
  • Short press Vehicle Start/Lock button. Avoid rapid multiple pressing of the button.
  • It is recommended to wait for cluster to wake up and completion of power on cycle before putting vehicle in drive mode.
  • Take the Vehicle off the main stand and side stand.
  • Sit on the Vehicle. Ensure the key is with the rider.
  • Ensure the battery is charged enough to travel the distance to the destination.
  • Vehicle is fitted with sensors to detect rollover (or fall down), if vehicle tilted beyond 60 degree approx.
  • In case of rollover, torque output/charging will be disabled.
  • Vehicle will not start from rollover position.
  • After rollover, vehicle need to be brought to normal position to start.

Riding

  • Make sure the Key is with the rider. Pull any brake lever and short press D button for Drive mode, without twisting the throttle.
  • Slowly twist the throttle to get the Vehicle moving. It is advised to start with Eco mode.
  • While running, can toggle between Sport & Eco modes with short press D button. A beep will occur while mode change. When in Eco mode, above 90% throttle it automatically enters into Sport mode, with a beep.
  • While on Drive mode, if the vehicle is kept idle without any operation, it will come to Neutral mode after approximately 3 minutes.
  • Vehicle speed will drop progressively to 0 km/hr as the battery State of Charge goes below 10% to 0%. The maximum vehicle speed in this condition will vary based on the battery voltage, State of Charge etc., Charge the battery at the earliest to avoid loss of power.
  • It is not recommended to hold vehicle on slope using only throttle. It may cause sudden loss of throttle and the vehicle might roll back. Use brake to hold the vehicle on slope.
  • Avoid riding vehicle by keeping hand on brake levers. Speed of the vehicle will be limited to 15 Kmph if the brake lever is pressed partially.
  • When the vehicle needs to be resting or at a traffic signal, make sure to shift the vehicle mode to neutral by short pressing start/stop switch. This will guard against any inadvertent throttle engagement leading to unsafe condition.
Warning:

Do not ride downhill without vehicle being turned on. It may cause permanent damage to MCU & motor.

Braking
  • Close the Throttle Completely. Apply both the brakes simultaneously.
  • This vehicle is having combined braking system (CBS). When front brake lever is pressed, only the front wheel brake will get applied. When Rear brake lever is pressed, both wheel brakes will get applied, however it is recommended to use both brakes simultaneously for best braking performance.
  • Do not drive the vehicle with both brake and throttle applied together. This will unnecessarily overload the motor as well as brakes and may cause reduced life.
  • Regenerative braking is limited/disabled at higher State of Charge and at higher battery temperatures. During this condition you may have to apply higher braking force manually to have the same braking effect.
Stopping the Vehicle
  • Bring the vehicle to complete stop.
  • Put Vehicle in Neutral mode by short pressing Vehicle Start-Stop switch or with side or center stand in ON position.
  • While in ON condition, if the vehicle is kept idle & standstill, it will automatically gets switched OFF after approximately 8 minutes.
Parking the Vehicle
  • Support the vehicle on a firm level surface with the center or side stand.
  • Turn the handlebar to either of the sides. Lock the handlebar with Vehicle Start-Stop Switch long press.
  • Do not keep the vehicle in fallen condition, bring to normal position soon to avoid excessive discharge of 12 V battery.
  • Always park the vehicle in normal position and avoid parking on vibrating platforms.
  • Support the vehicle on a firm level surface with the center or side stand.
  • Turn the handlebar to either of the sides. Lock the handlebar with Vehicle Lock/Unlock knob long press.

It is recommended to park the vehicle in a covered area to prevent it from extreme temperature exposure; either cold or hot and rain. In this way, the vehicle will be protected from sunlight, dust and moisture thus maximizing the life of the vehicle and its components. High temperatures affects the battery. For long duration parking in sunlight, it is advisable that a reflecting cover can be used to protect the paint and plastic parts of the vehicle.
